Discharge At Implantation

I'm english-Challenge: "Maintenance Vol 1 - It's a dirty job" story by Jim Massey,

undertaken after the all-consuming challenge-book in January 2011 I decided in February of this comic in English.

What is it and gleaning

You think your job is bad?

work Doug and Manny as ordinary janitor, but at the company TerroMax Inc., the world's biggest and best company in terms of think-tank, but also research and development of existing technology, use of alien technology, genetics, etc., to the to help more evil presence. In addition to cleanup, in itself very slimy cleansing and repairs - the poor creature in the candy machine! - Manny and Doug try also to cope with their fierce boss. And sometimes they get the white coats and projects in more detail than they want to volunteer ...

This Volume 1 contains three adventures of Doug and Manny

- In "It's a dirty job," Doug, we learn to know Manny and her current boss. The latter has previously worked on the project Shark-Man, but was demoted for lack of final solution. He is now very motivated to bootstrapping again. As it does the devil, Doug and Manny end up exactly in this laboratory and Shark-Man ... Now Shark-Man would like to see something different than the lab;)

- In "Yesterday once more" to run the two repair to a strange machine. It turns out that the competent scientist can send her things in the past or future - and promptly Doug and Manny end up in a cave ...

- In "Hey Mister Spaceman" stumble Manny and Doug (again) K'arl, the pilot of the 1947 crashed in Roswell spaceship. K'arl sitting in the canteen and is quite a panic, as the scientists back him strongly to my body: it is to provide them with what substance ...

As you can see, the focus of the stories are aimed not at a super-villain, and certainly not to the fight against evil with a superhero. No follow the stories Manny and Doug for their work in this large enterprise. This means that it is one or two views of the projects TerroMax Inc. and a call is finished. Whether the projects go but to implement it, one learns not necessarily. But Doug and Manny have but one - sometimes involuntarily - in close contact with the projects, be it by an exploding project slippage, whether through a trip through time dei.

I found this "limitation" of perception rather refreshing and new. - Ok, maybe it's not so new and I know it only because I am a comic newbie:) Does not matter ...

Doug and Manny are dear to me: Manny with his penchant for the pretty secretary Mendy and Doug, where you can see for example, "Yesterday Once More", which is still in him. And try as the two, the "Shark-Man" build, I found the already entertaining. Just like Doug and Manny's attempt K'arl to extend the helping hand: The poor guy has indeed not easy;)

for the illustrations is Robbi Rodriguez vereantwortlich. I like the way he captures the facial expressions and gestures of the figures, as grumpy or embarrassed or forging plans they work.

Although the terminal is in color, the drawings are kept inside entirely in black-gray-white. This surprised me at first. I bring current comics and graphic novels regularly with strong colors here. But the stories could play for me emotionally and in the 40s or 50s (the portrayal of the characters-for example, Doug and Manny's boss, Mendy K'arl or "fit" for this purpose), so I implementation in black and white and shades of gray regard as consistent. The stories the way, "today", as you can see the art, and some dialogs - and the goal of many companies:)

I like to say the approach and I'm going to get in the long run determines the next band:) And
